Monday’s Menu

Creating a menu plan each week is an important part of organzing your day. Not only will you no longer need to stare blankly into the fridge thinking, “What am I going to cook?” (at 6:00 p.m.), but you will no longer need to spend hours in the kitchen every evening preparing dinner.

When you have a plan, you know what needs to be done. You can prepare some things ahead of time during a slow hour of the day. Or you can prepare a meal in your slow cooker and come home to a hot dinner! And as an added bonus, you will likely save money and time in the grocery store!

I am sharing my menu for this week with you. You can print your own menu and hang it on the fridge in easy sight of the entire family.

Thanks for sharing your menu planner it was similar to what I used to use when the kids were smaller, but it seems now that I have been homemaking now for 20+ years, I sort of do the menu in my head when I shop for groceries. I always write my grocery list prior to going to the store and in that way I sort of menu plan for the week, therefore I know in advance what meals I will be planning and a general idea as to when I will be serving what. It also offers flexibility for the “quick change of plans” that sometimes occur. Sometimes I get creative as well and add little treats if I have the time, such as the homemade chocolate pudding I made hubby last night! Menu planning in any form is a must and saves time. I find it also provides better nutrition for everyone as well, because by menu planning it can assure that everyone gets thier fruit and vegie quota for the day as well as making sure those in your family with special dietary needs are taken care of.
