Some of Life’s Sweet Treats

Tonight’s menu includes a delicacy… Fingerling Potatoes. So simple and so delicious!

Boil until fork tender, drain, toss with butter and chives and freshly cracked black pepper.

We are also having a vegetarian “meatloaf” and steamed asparagus with lemon. Oh, and thyme and olive oil focacia bread!

My husband (the pastor) and daughters are at church this evening… they are going through a baptismal class with another girl. I am so pleased! But, to pass the hours until they return home at 8:30, I am going to indulge in some sewing. I really don’t have time for it like I wish. Tonight, I will be making a vintage embroidered pan holder. I will post pictures when I am done!

Tonights menu was Italian Steamed Chicken with Linquine. I put some Yellow Eye Maine Beans to soak overnight, because I thought I might make some Maine Baked Beans in the crock pot tommorow and freeze some of the extra for when the kids return from college on weekends. Tonight I suppose I might knit some on the socks I am making my son, or that sweater I put down months ago.
