I don’t know about you but life here has been busy, and even more busy. I have been organizing, reorganizing, and cleaning. I guess you could call it an early Spring Cleaning. It has felt wonderful! On the downside, all of our plumbing is going out and we have buckets under nearly every sink not to mention only one toilet in the house works without leaking while the others either have buckets under the tanks or are pulled apart patiently waiting for the repairman next week. This has been a continuing problem and now that my kitchen sink is pouring water from the pipes, I think we have no choice but to simply have it all replaced … On the up side, I will be getting a NEW kitchen sink and possibly counter tops, so despite the fact that we can’t really afford the thousands all this plumbing is going to cost, I am a little excited about it! My husband and I have been debating whether to get all new toilets and sinks in the bathrooms, but I really like my orginal vintage bathrooms and don’t want to lose the look. He wants all new.

It is so nice to see the sunshine today. After days of clouds, freezing weather and snow, I really needed the sunshine today! I took a few moments this morning to flip through a new Woman’s Day Magazine and loved the herb garden hanging in Mason jars. I think this would be perfect for my kitchen… or maybe the back stairs landing where the window pours in the sunlight.

We had a lot of fun on Valentine’s Day making crafts and coloring pretty pictures for Daddy.

Valentine’s Day is also our puppies birthday. They were one year old! This is Rosie (top) and Sophie (bottom) in the picture below.

We had a party!

It’s Friday here March 2nd and it’s raining in the PNW as usual. But, I hear the birds singing in the rain. What a beautiful sound that means spring is just around the corner.
Today is baking day. WW ground bread, cinnamon rolls, muffins for Saturday breakfast, if they last that long, and a crock pot veggie soup is on for dinner tonight.
Sewing in a little while. I need to make up my exchange blocks for our quilting guild meeting next week. Our BOM this year is all in stars of different kinds and in red, whites, and blues with a touch of yellow as needed. Fun!
I’m a new member today. Hope this was the right place to post.
