This week I have begun to make tote bags for each of my girls to take to church with them. Something pretty that they can easily place their Bibles and quiet activities in. So far I have made one for Emily. I plan to make another one today for Sarah. Hopefully my day will go in such away that I am able to get this done.
I was so lucky last week because I actually got to go to Joann’s and purchase fabric. We have to drive 2 - 3 hours in every direction to get to a town that has fabric stores. So, I don’t get to go but once every few months. I purchase two coordinating fabrics, a different set for each child. There should be plenty leftovers for me to make other items with as well.

I didn’t have a pattern, but the first totebag turned out just like I imagined so that was a relief. I tend to do better if I don’t have a pattern - something about visualizing it in my head.
My two older daughters and I have a ScrapMakers (scrapbooking) Club tonight. This is a new club for our community hosted by the Extension office so everything is free! We are doing the More to Adore paper tonight from Close to My Heart. The club meets every other week. My girls were so excited that I asked them to join the club with me. It’s something for us to “bond” over as they are growing up and not little girls anymore.
Oh, and back to the totebags, Emily was so excited about the totebag she wants to use it for the ScrapMakers Club as well to haul all of her scrapbooking stuff. Sarah wants to do the same, which is why I hope to get it sewn this afternoon.
