I have been in the mood to get the hose ready for Christmas. I usually wait until December to really start decorating, but I am getting anxious. I am in the mood to be crafty but have not had time to do much of anything.
I did find some ornament crafts on BHG.com that I think the kids will enjoy making. We try to make at least one handmade ornament each year. The first is a set of simple beaded ornaments. The second is made with popcicle sticks.
Tomorrow morning first thing I have to take my son to the doctor to get a perscription for Malaria pills. He had his yellow fever, typhoid fever, menengitis, and hepititis shots last week in preparation for his mission trip to Africa in December. James will be in Africa for nearly four weeks. They are leaving December 19. We are running behind on the Malaria pills, but hopefully the two weeks will be long enough to protect him from the disease. I trust that God will have his hand on James.
In other family news, we have a 13 year old boy staying with us who has been having a lot of emotional problems because of family related issues. So, our household has increased for the time being. If you think of it, please pray for him and for us as we seek to help him in the best way possible.
